1. Overview

Welcome to Lime. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Lime Group, Inc. and its affiliates (“Lime,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, and share information about you when you use our websites, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using Lime, you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service, which incorporate this Policy by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

2. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to all users of Lime’s platform—including Clients, Instructors, Facilities, and visitors—within the United States. If you reside outside the United States, supplemental terms may apply (see Appendix A – International Addendum).

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that may integrate with or link to Lime. Those are governed by their own privacy policies.

3. Information We Collect

We collect three main types of information:

(a) Information You Provide to Us
You may give us personal information directly when you:
- Create an account or complete a profile (e.g., name, email, phone, date of birth, address, photo, lesson topics, or facility affiliation);
- Book or provide lessons and make payments;
- Communicate with other users or Lime Support;
- Submit forms, surveys, or content (such as photos, videos, or reviews);
- Provide dependent or minor information under your adult account;
- Apply to become an Instructor or Facility.

(b) Information We Collect Automatically
When you use Lime, we automatically collect:
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app version, referring URLs, pages viewed, and usage times;
- Transaction data: booking dates, times, and payment totals (but not full credit card numbers, which are handled by payment processors);
- Location data: approximate location from your IP address or, if enabled, device GPS;
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files or identifiers used to maintain session continuity and measure activity.

(c) Information from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from:
- Public or commercial databases, social-login providers (e.g., Apple, Google), or app-store partners;
- Payment processors, messaging providers, or safety vendors;
- Other users, when they submit reviews, reports, or referrals.

4. How We Use Information

We use personal information to operate, improve, and protect Lime, including to:

1. Provide and improve the Services – enable bookings, scheduling, payments, and communications; personalize lesson recommendations; develop new features; and enhance functionality.
2. Ensure safety and trust – verify identities; detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues; enforce our Terms and policies; and maintain community integrity.
3. Communicate with you – send confirmations, updates, and support messages; respond to inquiries; and notify you of policy changes.
4. Marketing and engagement – send offers or information that may interest you, consistent with your communication preferences. You may opt out at any time.
5. Legal compliance and protection – comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and defend our rights.
6. Research and analytics – analyze usage trends and improve performance, provided such analysis is aggregated or de-identified.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use lesson or message content for third-party advertising.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below and consistent with applicable law:

Service Providers – We engage trusted vendors (for example, hosting, cloud storage, analytics, messaging, background screening, and payment processors) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.

Other Users – When you create a profile or participate in a booking, basic details (e.g., first name, initial, photo, lesson type, facility, reviews) may be visible to other users as part of the platform experience. Messaging between users occurs in-app and may be monitored for safety and compliance.

Legal and Safety Disclosures – We may disclose information when required by law or in good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to protect Lime, our users, or the public; respond to lawful requests; or prevent fraud or injury.

Business Transfers – If Lime is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the same protections described here.

With Consent – We may share your information with third parties when you explicitly authorize us to do so.

We do not allow our service providers to use your data for their own marketing or independent purposes.

6. Dependents and Minors

Lime is designed for adults (18 +) to create accounts. Minors may participate only as dependents linked to an adult account holder. The adult account holder:
- Controls the dependent’s profile, scheduling, and communications;
- Must be present at lessons (unless a waiver is signed); and
- Grants consent for any recording or public display of the dependent’s likeness.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from minors or allow independent accounts for users under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including:
- Account and transaction data – as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for recordkeeping, audits, and compliance;
- Communications, support messages, and lesson data – generally up to 24 months;
- Legal or dispute records – as required by law or necessary to resolve claims.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access / Know – request details about the personal information we hold about you;
- Delete – ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal exceptions;
- Correct – request correction of inaccurate or outdated information;
- Opt Out of Marketing – decline promotional emails or messages;
- Non-Discrimination – receive equal service regardless of exercising privacy rights.

To submit a verified request, email privacy@thelimeapp.com or use in-app settings.

9. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tools to:
- Keep you signed in and secure your session;
- Remember preferences and display relevant content;
- Analyze traffic and measure engagement.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly. Lime does not support “Do Not Track” browser signals at this time.

10. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encryption in transit and at rest, limited employee access, and continuous monitoring.

However, no system is entirely secure. You use the Services at your own risk. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal data, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.

11. Transfers and Storage

Lime stores and processes data in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

When we transfer data internationally, we take appropriate measures—such as contractual protections—to ensure an adequate level of security.

12. Communications Preferences

You may control how we communicate with you:
- Transactional notices (e.g., confirmations, receipts) are mandatory;
- Marketing communications may be turned off at any time via the unsubscribe link or account settings;
- Push and SMS notifications can be managed in-app or via device settings.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in law or our practices. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or prominent in-app notice at least 30 days before the new version takes effect. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the revision date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
